Stoke keeper Thomas Sorensen has defended himself against accusations that he moves before a penalty is taken after notching up another spot-kick success.

Sorensen's latest penalty save came when he denied Hugo Rodallega with his feet in the 89th minute of Saturday's 2-2 draw against Wigan.
The Denmark international has a brilliant recent record with penalties - saving one in each of his last three league matches against Portsmouth, Arsenal and now Wigan - to make it five out of the last six in total.
Explaining his success, he believes a keeper must give himself an edge over the penalty-taker and he is unrepentant about claims that he moves off his line, saying all keepers do.

Sorensen said: "It is all about percentages. The average saving percentage is about 21 per cent but my stats are five out of the last six; two for Denmark and three out of the last four here.
"I have my own ideas about technique. It is important to have some forward momentum because it gives you a bit if spring, but if you look at all goalkeepers I don't think anyone stays on their line.
"It is about giving yourself those extra inches and it is up to the referee to decide on that."
