Question 1 : What’s your earliest footballing memory?<
Playing for North Abbey in the South Belfast Boys League
Question 2: When did you realise you wanted to become a goalkeeper?
From the age of 12 I always went in goal when playing with friends and from then I loved it.
Question 3: What route/how did you get into the game?
Playing for North Abbey on saturday mornings I was watched by a southampton scout and was offered over for trials. that was sucessful and I signed at age 14
Question 4: what’s your best moment in football?
My debut for Southampton first team against Newcastle
Question 5 and your worst?
When on loan at Bournemouth I had an absolute nightmare, but if you don't make mistakes you never learn.
Question 6: Has the boss ever given you a ticking off at any of the clubs you have been at?
Yes only when I didn't perform well
Question 7: Who's the best player you've ever played against?
As a goalkeeper I 'd have to say another keeper, so Shay Given
Question 8: You've just been given permission to sign any player in the world, who would you go for?
Jamie Carragher, as a goalkeeper I like a good defender in front of me and he is different class
Question 9: Do you have any superstitions?
Yeah the night before a match I always be reallly nice to everyone because I believe if im nasty I 'll not play well the next day

Question 12: Would you say that height matters to be a good goalkeeper? If so why???
It does to an extent, a smaller goalkeeper can struggle with high balls
Question 13: What's the last CD you bought?

Don't drive, iPod is the way forward
Question 15: What is your favourite meal?
Salmon and spuds
Question 16: If you could be automatically fluent in one language, which would it be?
French, you always get the feeling they're talking about you and I 'd love to know if they are or not
Question 17: If you could reverse any refereeing decision in the history of football, which one would you choose?
Question 18: If you could be famous for something other than football, what would you be?
Cooking, I like to think I 'm a dab hand in the kitchen!!
Question 19: What's the best piece of advice that's been ever given to you? And by whom?
Question 20: Who are the worst dressed footballers you've worked with?
Matt le Tissier, he had all the money he needed but dressed like a homeless person

Southampton, Bournemouth, Rushden and Diamonds, Stockport, Brighton,Doncaster, Oldham, Bohemians and currently at Ballymena
Question 24. Approximately how many penalty kicks would you have saved in your career?
About 6
Question 25. Would you say you are good at saving penalties?
Haven't been in many penalty situations I just pick a side and hope for the best.

Question 27 what advice would you give to somebody who wants to become a goalkeeper?
Work hard and take the highs with the lows,

In my opinion at the minute David James
Question 30 Do you think that it is important to have a goalkeeping coach at all football clubs? Do you have one at your new club, Ballymena United and if so who is he.
Yes it's very important goalkeeping is totally different from outfield, it needs specialised work.
Question 31 How many Northern Ireland caps do you have?
5 Under 21's and 1 senior cap
Question 32 how do you prepare for a game?
Mainly rest and eat well before the game
Question 33 Have you got a nickname and if so what is it and how did it come about??
Don't have one people ususally just call me Big Al or Blayney for obvious reasons
Question 34 you have played down south with Bohimemians how would you rate the standard off football in the south to the standard in the North.
With most teams being full time down South it is better fitness wise.
Question 35 At Southampton you worked with David Coles your goalkeeping coach at the club at the time. What was he like to work with?
Absolutely fantastic the difference he's made to David James over the last 2 seasons is unbelievable. I owe him a lot.
